One of New York’s most accomplished commercial real estate brokers on the landlord side, Oliver spent fourteen years in-house with Aby Rosen’s RFR beginning in 2003. As Executive Vice President he was an instrumental part of the team operating and leasing a five-million-square-foot portfolio of the city’s best properties, closing more than 500 commercial lease transactions of every size, shape, and type across some 37 locations.

Alongside the agency work, he leased a 500,000-square-foot New York retail portfolio for six years and ran leasing for 980 Madison — the city’s most prominent art-gallery building — for five, developing its third floor into a successful multi-gallery international destination just beneath Larry Gagosian’s New York offices and uptown gallery. In 2016 he founded Indigo Property Holding LLC, a tenant-rep brokerage he continues to operate today.

The label is the newest chapter, and the most personal one. A well-regarded figure in New York nightlife and hospitality — and a respected mover in the nightclub and DJ performance world — Oliver founded WHATS THAT SOUND in July 2025 and released its debut record, wish you well, by singer-songwriter Chaz Marcus.

The obsession with sound runs deep: his love of audio led him to build one of the world’s great McIntosh high-fidelity systems. The label holds itself to the same standard. Signal over noise.

Over the past twenty years Oliver has carefully built a respected art collection, one piece at a time — more than a hundred works, and he knows almost every artist he collects personally. He plays tennis and competitive 9-ball, races custom cars, and rides a collection of custom BMX bikes. He lives between the Upper East Side and East Hampton.
